Shuk Hapishpeshim (Flea market)

There are some places which are unique in their own way. For example Old city of Jaffa in Tel Aviv. There is a lot of history there. You can see that the city is mentioned several times in Bible. But here I’m not going to talk about the history, I’m going to share my own expression about the city and people there. I’ve met Samir and Dina –  the owners of Antique gallery in Old Jaffa. They are really nice people and I always  have a happy feeling when I go to their shop. In Old Jaffa – there is a Floating orange tree  created by Ran Morin which is a sculpture sought to emphasize the increasing world of separation between man and nature, as “creatures that grow in containers.” If you go any further you will discover the little shop of Adina Plastelina with it’s mysterious room. There are some other unique places in Jaffa, but the most interesting place in Jaffa is so called HaPishpeshim market or Flea market. It’s unique because it’s always alive, you can find there so many things from the past, encyclopedia, black and white photography, pictures, frames, old coins, old technique. HaPishpeshim market represents the idea about recycling , reusing of old ‘new’ things. Here are some pictures from that market.
